I started this project before moving to NYC in the summer of 2016. I had no idea what lay ahead of me each day and I had to capture the excitement and trepidation I felt about what was ahead, and give myself a project for when I felt like all I was doing was twiddling my thumbs.

As I came to the end of the year I found myself becoming much more lax about getting the shot each day, I owe this to the new routine in my life. A routine I’m thankful for - as anyone who has heard me talk about my time waiting on the US Social Security office can attest to.

So this particular project finished after 5 months. It begins and ends in London, with cameos from Stockholm, Svartlöga, Liverpool, Los Angeles, Portland, Massachusetts, and North Carolina. But the real star is New York City.


In 2014, I travelled to Stockholm to film my Dad and his mates recording the first ever song he learnt how to play on guitar. In a day they laid down Garageland by The Clash...
